During the time we have known, worshiped along side, and ministered with Paul and Sue, we have been impressed with how God’s character and passion has been expressed through them towards others. There is a synergistic anointing on their lives and their ministry that is exciting to be a part of. They remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit, discerning what the Lord is asking them to do.. Their leadership is critical to the Body of Christ. We count them as a blessing in the Kingdom of God!

Our experience at one of Paul and Sue’s marriage events was not only valuable, but refreshing, and genuine in more ways than one. For starters, for my husband and me, there is nothing like being surrounded by real couples who can completely relate to our desire for a thriving, strong, healthy, happy marriage with God at the center. For this reason, the environment alone was powerful. It was a place to share, listen, learn, laugh, pray, and worship with a real focus on something that matters most to us.

The opportunity to self reflect as so many familiar habits and experiences were discussed was eye opening and so important to be able to see your spouse and yourself in a different light. My husband and I left with so many things to discuss, but we were able to do it with so much patience, gentleness, and love because we were reminded that we both wanted growth in our marriage, versus one of us to grow without the other. It was a new day, a new approach, a new dream, and even though we felt we already previously had a fabulous marriage to celebrate prior to that day, this event showed us new directions and heights we weren’t formerly looking for.

The most powerful moment for us however, was the end of the event. When each couple had an opportunity to be prayed for privately. To this moment, I treasure that prayer. It is not often that I can say for certain other people are praying for our marriage, for our family, for our paths and purpose…..but in this moment there were four of us, hearts fully dedicated, minds entirely focused, and words beautifully sincere. I believe with all of my heart that where 2 or more are gathered in his name, there the Spirit is as well, that moment only confirmed that truth for me. I remember the rush of emotions I felt and fighting back tears during the prayer, it was overwhelming and I couldn’t completely understand why I was struggling to hold myself together. After leaving, my husband shared that he too had felt so uncontrollably moved by emotions at the same time with no ability to explain why. That moment brought me comfort, knowing that Paul’s and Sue’s hearts were absolutely doing this for all of the right reasons, with love and what God wants for all marriage as their mission. I thank them for that prayer alone, for in that moment we felt God’s presence capture our hearts and that presence will keep us going forever!
